My name is Steve Purtee. I have been a life-long Indiana resident. I have a wife, Courtney, two cats, Artie and Daisy, a Husky mix dog named Pepper - and we're about to get a new dog, a female Mastiff.
I have been an Oracle Performance Specialist for the last 15 years.
In my early career, I spent 10 years traveling doing Oracle 11i implementations with Oracle Commercial Consulting. Then 2 years working the Oracle internal GSI Performance Team, AppsIT. After leaving Oracle I had the great fortune to work at Hotsos for Cary Millsap and Gary Goodman. I studied under Cary for about 2 years before he broke off and started the Method-R company.
Since leaving Hotsos in the Fall of 2008, I have been doing a little bit of consulting work on Oracle Performance issues and IT efficiencies.
This Blog serves me as an area giving me an opportunity to speak and a place to publish some of my writings.
Not sure that I care if anyone is listening, but occasionally I find something special to say. Thoughts vary. Currently I have a lot of free time. I may speak about my favorite ORACLE technology or stuff related, sometimes other stuff.
